Available Positions

Head Equipment Technician - Full Time

Responsible for the performance of all major and minor mechanical repairs on a variety of diesel and gasoline powered equipment under the general direction of the Golf Course Assistant Superintendent and Head Superintendent.  Head Equipment Technician also works as a team member and may assist in other responsibilities as assigned by the Head Superintendent.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Conducts an effective preventative maintenance program in conjunction with operators to reduce mechanical failure and poor performance of all golf course equipment.
  • Repairs all equipment and work carts.
  • Keeps repair and maintenance records on all equipment.
  • Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical problems for all maintenance equipment.
  • Sets heights and sharpens blades on the cutting equipment.  Makes cuts, welds and brazes as needed in repairing equipment and mowing units.
  • Maintains a clean shop and keeps it orderly and efficient.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of parts through requisitions to the Golf Course Assistant Superintendent.
  • Monitors gas and fuel levels in storage tanks.
  • Responsible for assigning tasks, ensuring completion, to the Golf Maintenance Operator on assigned shift, in absence of the direct report. 

 

Golf Course Maintenance Operator - Part Time

Responsible for  operating all necessary equipment to ensure quality standards are met in the grooming of Tamahka Trails Golf Course and Paragon Casino Resort grounds, inclusive of the RV Park.  responsible for assisting with the maintenance duties within paragon Casino Resort as supervisor assigns.   Examples of golf course maintenance duties include mowing fairways, roughs, tees greens and approaches, edging greens, cart paths, bunkers.   

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Operating both Motor-propelled and hand-grooming equipment
  • Obeys all safety procedures as set forth by the Tamahka Trails Golf Club and Paragon Casino Resort.
  • Performs jobs as set forth by the spray tech, assistant superintendent and head Superintendent in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a clean golf course, maintenance complex and casino grounds.
  • Properly maintains and services the equipment that has been assigned to him/her to operate.
  • Shows courtesy to all guests of the golf club and casino grounds at all times.
  • Reports all problems regarding equipment to Head Equipment Technician and Assistant Superintendent and Head Superintendent
  • Maintenance Operator must be able to perform the duties of a laborer.

Grounds Maintenance - Casino & RV Resort - Part Time

Responsible for  operating all necessary equipment to ensure quality standards are met in the grooming of Paragon Casino Resort grounds, RV Resort and Tamahka Trails Golf Course.  This position is primarily responsible for assisting with the maintenance duties within Paragon Casino grounds and RV Resort, but will also assist in responsibilities at the golf course as supervisor assigns.   Examples of Casino Grounds and RV Resort  duties include mowing with a zero-turn mower, edging and blowing. 

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following:

Tamahka Grill - Server - Part Time

Responsible for providing dining service to all guests of Tamahka Grill in an efficient, courteous and professional manner displaying a high standard of guest service.

Essential Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to restaurant guests in accordance with Grill standards.
  • Performs necessary tasks to service guests (i.e. taking of food and drink orders and assisting in maintaining guests dining area in a clean and neat manner.
  • Monitor's guests' needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests will be promptly fulfilled.
  • Maintains current knowledge of all menu items and ingredients.
  • Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests at the Grill bar.
  • Performs as a team member with supervisors, food servers and kitchen staff in producing a smooth and efficiently run operation.
  • Performs  side work (opening, running and closing duties) as necessary.

 
Golf Marshal - Part Time

Responsible for the administration and implementation for the orderly progression of play on the golf course at Tamahka Trails.  Marshals also supervise and coordinate the duties of the cart attendants.  

  Essential Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Performs as a team member in the duties and responsibilities outlined for the Cart Attendants and ensures the standards of operations are adhered to on a daily basis.  
  • Coordinates with Pro Shop Staff to match guests with corresponding tee times and assigned carts.
  • Monitors pace of play according to established guidelines.  
  • Ensures proper return of rental clubs.
  • Enforces club rules and standards of behavior.
  • Supervises routine maintenance and preventative maintenance of the golf car fleet.
  • Assists and supervises daily cleaning and maintenance of outside clubhouse, parking lot, and golf course.
  • Assists and supervises the cleaning and storage of the golf cars in accordance with the operating standards as defined by the Director of Golf Operations. 
  • Assists and supervises range operations.
  • Responsible for opening and closing of golf clubhouse and cart storage.  
  • Effectively fulfills the role of outside Supervisor on Duty.  

 

Golf - Cart Attendant - Part Time

Responsible for outside assistance of golfing guests, practice range operations, appearance of clubhouse grounds and appearance of cart fleet to the standards established by the Director of Golf Operations.  The cart attendant will also assist in opening, running and closing duties as assigned by Marshall, Manager or Director of Golf Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Responsible for assisting members and guests with all outside service needs.
  • Maintains cart fleet to the highest standards including cleaning, drying, detailing, stocking, rotation, normal maintenance and routine checks for damage and operational functionality.
  • Efficiently operates practice range by setting up the practice balls each morning in pyramids, maintaining the pyramids throughout the day, picking the balls from the range and cleaning the range balls daily.
  • Assist golfers with unloading, loading, cleaning and storage of golf clubs.
  • Maintains clubhouse grounds and parking lot by keeping these areas free of trash.  Cart Attendants are also responsible for blowing leaves and debris from sidewalks, breeze way and cart paths throughout the day.
  • Assist Marshals with other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must apply for, be granted and retain a valid Tribal Gaming License during their employment with Paragon Casino resort.  Must have understanding of and abide by all regulations as stated in the Tribal-State Compact.
